Previously on Bound: Calling All Teens to Inkpop!

HarperCollins's HarperTeen has officially launched inkpop.com, an interactive writing platform for teens with teen-written content and a social networking platform. Editors from HarperCollins review content on the site. Which means teen writers have the awesome chance to get feedback on their work, potential mentorship opportunities and even get their work considered for actual publication!

Techcrunch.com says that since inkpop's soft launch in November, the 10,000 teen members have submitted over 10,000 novels, poems, essays, and short stories from teens 13 and up.

The inkpop blog is a treasure trove of goodies:

  • profiles of teen writers
  • writing advice from industry professionals,
  • announcements of writing contests/themes
  • and interviews and chats with popular teen authors like the hilarious with heart, Carolyn Mackler
