SCBWI TEAM BLOG sez Don't forget to register in 2 HOURS!

Register at 10 AM PST for the 39th Annual SCBWI Int'l Summer Conference! I must say, SCBWI looks reallllly good for 39.

Here's the link to register in a few hours.

Here are some of the things that are going to fill up fast fast fast:

Krista Marino's Finding & Revising Your Protagonist's Voice in a Young Adult Novel Workshop. You'll need to bring a finished or near-finished MS to the class plus there's pre-reading.

Diane Muldrow's An Editor Over Your Shoulder: Polishing Your Picture Book Workshop. I do declare, I have not SEEN a picture book workshop at any past LA conferences I've attended, so this is a major bit of awesomeness! You'll need to bring an in-progress picture book.

Also a first -- Mac McCool's Writing & Illustrating Children's Graphic Novels Workshop. I am a huge fan of Mac's and am thrilled they are offering this workshop -- be prepared to do your homework ahead of time.

And getting techie with it -- William Low's Pushing Pixels: Picture Book Illustration in the Digital Age Workshop. You need to bring your laptop, tablet and know a bit about Photoshop for this one.

And for all the published attendees, there's the awesome PROTRACK which includes eight targeted course options PLUS the chance to either get a website consultation, an author photo shoot, or a video shoot for the speaker section on the SCBWI website.

And these are just the extras! There's a whole amazing schedule of sessions included with regular conference admission. I do wish the conference came with Hermione's Time Turner.
